A word about animation design in 3d family films....

Is it just me, or are the character designs of all these 3d Animated movies just bland?

It seems like they go out of the way to make really lame monsters or cliched giant chins and top heavy heros. Would it kill them to design in some type of proportion?

Take a page out of the book of the Star Wars animated series and try a unique style that is both cool and proportionate. These overly done cartoon "types" are getting on my nerves.

I really hated the Missing link and the Cockroach from Monsters V.S. Aliens. Syndrome from Incredibles was ok, but it seems like every super bad guy had a butter face and red hair.

I beg of you designers, things can be done simply and exciting- look at anime.
